(Terms of use)
Terms of use
The rules for using this website. Your roofing work itself is covered by the written scope and contract you sign for your job.
These terms cover your use of this website. Roofing work itself is always carried out under a separate written scope and contract that you sign for your job, and if anything in these terms conflicts with your contract, the contract applies.
1. About these terms
This website is run by Halden Roofing Co., 118 Tanner Road, Ashford ("Halden", "we", "us"). By using it you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website. You can reach us on (406) 555-0142 or at hello@haldenroofing.example.
2. Prices and the cost estimator
Prices on this website, including "from" prices, price tables and the results of the roof cost estimator, are guide prices for typical homes in our service area. They are not quotes or offers, and they do not create a contract. Your price is the fixed price in the written scope we send after inspecting your roof, which is valid for 30 days from the date on it unless it says otherwise.
The estimator works from the figures you enter and our average rates. It cannot account for the condition of your deck, the number of chimneys and penetrations, access, or local permit requirements, all of which can change the price.
3. Inspection requests
Requesting an inspection through this website does not book a confirmed appointment. We confirm every request by phone, normally within two working hours from Monday to Saturday. Slots shown on the form are preferences, and we will offer an alternative if a slot is taken or the weather makes the roof unsafe.
Our inspections are free for homes in our service area and do not commit you to anything. You must have the right to allow us onto the property, and to allow us into the attic where we need it.
4. Inspection reports
An inspection report is a roofing contractor's opinion of the condition of the roof, gutters and attic on the day of the visit, based on what could be seen and safely reached. It is not a licensed home inspection, a structural engineer's report or a guarantee that the roof will not leak. You may share your report with your insurer, a buyer, a seller or a lender, but we are not responsible for decisions other people make based on it.
5. Storm response and insurance
We aim to tarp open areas within 24 hours of a storm-line call, but after a major storm we prioritise homes with water coming in, and response times can be longer. You remain in charge of any insurance claim. We never waive, absorb or disguise a deductible, and we will not sign an assignment of benefits in place of your own claim.
6. Using the website's content
The text, photos, reports, drawings and design of this website belong to Halden Roofing Co. or are used with permission. You may view, print and share pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy them for commercial use, for example to make quotes or websites of your own, without our written permission.
The guidance in our roof notes is general information to help you make decisions about your home. It is not advice for your specific roof, and it does not replace an inspection.
7. Links to other websites
Where we link to other websites, we do so for your information. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.
8. Availability
We try to keep the website available and accurate, but we do not promise that it will always be available, error-free or up to date. If you spot a mistake, please tell us.
9. Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of this website or from relying on its general information, guide prices or estimator results. Our responsibilities for work on your home are set out in your written contract and your workmanship warranty.
10. Workmanship warranty
Our 25-year workmanship warranty is issued in writing at sign-off for each completed roof replacement, and our 2-year warranty for each completed repair. The certificate for your job sets out exactly what is covered, how to make a claim and how the warranty transfers once if you sell the house. Descriptions of the warranty on this website are a summary; the certificate is what applies.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Montana, and any dispute about them will be dealt with by the courts of that state.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page, with the date below, is the one that applies when you use the website.
