The brief
The porch roof on this bungalow is a 2/12 pitch, far too flat for shingles, and it had been shingled anyway. Water was backing up under the courses and running down the inside of the house wall every time it rained hard from the west.
The owners also had 4-inch gutters overflowing at both dormer valleys. They wanted the whole roof done once, properly, rather than chasing leaks one by one.

How it turned out
The porch now has a membrane made for low slopes, turned 8 inches up the house wall under new counter flashing, and the west wall has stayed dry. The 6-inch gutters take both dormer valleys without overflowing, and the downspouts now discharge 4 feet from the foundation instead of onto the front path.
